Protek’s premium product delivers a high quality decorative finish with a soft lustre that allows the wood grain to show through. A hard wearing, water repelling timber treatment that offers all year round weather protection as well as a mould and fungal inhibitor to protect the coating.
For use on hardwood and softwood products. Fast drying and rainproof in 2hrs.
Low maintenance weatherproof coating that contains UV filters to protect colours from fading. Safe and easy to use with virtually no odour and free of solvents. Requires two to three thin coats and is suitable for smooth or rough timber.

Advice: It is recommended that 2 – 3 coats be applied. If 1 coat is to be applied for a translucent look, apply Royal Clear on top to produce a harder surface finish. Protek Royal is a high-build formulation so each extra coat increases the colour and sheen. If applying to bare timber a knotting agent should be used prior to application. When applied to floorboards a top coat of breathable polyurethane sealant or varnish should be applied to protect against heavy foot traffic.
This is a protective water-repellent coating. If your timber isn’t treated with a preservative then depending on the type of wood and product, you may want to use Protek Wood Preserver ++ first. For light colours, we recommend using Protek Stain Blocking Primer to prevent the top coat discolouring from possible tannin bleed.
